One of the best kept secrets in downtown Pensacola, the Garden District Cottages celebrate the diversity of Pensacola and its rich multicultural history and we are excited to advocate for the advancement of Pensacola.
Did you know...just down the road from the garden district cottages at:
423 North C Street is a historic home that is being renovated into a museum.
Constructed in 1890, but since 1931 has been the headquarters of the Pensacola Federation of Colored Women's Clubs, an organization founded in 1929 by Ella Jordan as an umbrella for similar black women's clubs.
The organization plays an important role in voicing concerns and influencing legislation regarding children, crime, education, the environment and improving the quality of life for all Floridians.
Support the revitalization of this historic building in downtown Pensacola so it may continue to serve various community groups, especially those stressing childhood education.
