The W. A. Blount Junior High School was a junior high (or middle) school located at 113 North C Street.
Formerly the J. B. Lockey School, the school was expanded in 1937 and converted to a junior high school and renamed for William Alexander Blount, Sr.
The Escambia County School District vacated the building in 1982.
We are excited to be rehabilitating this property and will soon begin construction on 26 new homes.
The ground breaking ceremony will be on Friday, November 16th at 2 pm and we hope that you join us.
